The Corsage Project Celebrates 11 Years!

February 7th, 2010 · No Comments · Uncategorized

Since its inception in 1999, The Corsage Project set out on a mission to provide graduating highschool girls (unable to afford the expense) with free prom attire.  In its early years, we were scrounging for used dresses and cold-calling in hopes of donations for a relatively unknown cause. Unbelievably, 11 years later, with the support of innumerable volunteers, corporate donors and the passion of its founders and community, the charity has flourished outfitting hundreds of girls, impacting the lives of young women who have been able to celebrate the milestone of their senior Prom with style and confidence.

In 2010, we are bringing you The Corsage Project with a fresh look and a new attitude.  We have re-vamped our website to include more useful information and have made it easier to navigate.  We added a blog (online newsletter) to keep you informed on what we’re working on leading up to The Corsage Ball (from fundraising updates to Frequently Asked Questions).  We  hope to connect with you on the web via Facebook to share your personal stories and what Corsage Project means to us all.

A million thank you’s to our amazing network of volunteers, community sponsors, corporate donors and The Children’s Aid Foundation.  And to our Corsage Girls, who keep us inspired with stories of accomplishment and personal triumph.  Every year, you breathe new life into what we do.
